Randolph A. Rust, 69, of Jacksonville, IL passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Nov. 23, 1956, in Jacksonville, the son of George and Katherine (Anders) Rust.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Teresa Rust;  two sisters and two brothers, Leann Karns of Troy, OH, Tom (Tammy) Rust of Bourbonnais, Marilyn Leverton of Nolanville, TX, and Ted (Debi) Rust of Jacksonville; and three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-in-law, Howard Leverton and Lester Karns.

Mr. Rust had worked for Green Thumb Lawn and Landscape Maintenance, Mason's Market in Murrayville, EMI, Cargill in Beardstown, and Dunkin' Donuts. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a firm belief in Christ. Randy loved his dogs and cats, currently his dog, Maggie.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be hosted by the family at 12:00 Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to Morgan County Animal Shelter.
