Richard L. Lambert, 74, of rural Jacksonville, IL, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Jacksonville. He was born November12, 1947 in Jacksonville, the son of Glenn and Juanita Bourn Lambert. He married Diana Haggard on August 11, 1967, in Winchester and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Scott Lambert (Sara) of Buffalo Grove and three grandchildren, Ethan Lambert of Colorado Springs, CO and Aiden and Olivia Lambert, Both of Buffalo Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Holly in infancy, Richard was a 1966 graduate of Jacksonville High School and was employed as a pressman for the Jacksonville Journal-Courier for 37 years. He retired in 2009 as the assistant foreman. He was of the United Methodist faith. His passion was tractors whether it be collecting toy tractors or the full-size ones that filled his shed. He loved tinkering with restoration of his antique tractors and attending antique tractor shows. At Richards request, there will be no visitation or funeral ceremony.
