Robert B. Green, 93, of Jacksonville, IL, passed away on September 11, 2024, in Quincy.

Mr. Green was born June 13, 1931, to Bruce and Dorothy (Arnold) Green. He is survived by his sons, Robert, Marvin, Randel and Neal; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. His wife of 59 years, Barbara (Deem) and eldest son, Terry, preceded him in death.

Mr. Green retired from Illinois Power Company after 42 years of service. He was a member of Shriners, always willing to help others, and he greatly enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee and conversation.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 16 at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with calling hours beginning at 4 PM and a service to follow at 6 PM. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 17, at St. Paul Cemetery, the cemetery where is parents are interred. The cemetery is located at St. Paul United Church-Christ, 3277 Bluff Road, Edwardsville, IL 62025. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.
