Ronald Earl Hall, 60, of Bluffs, IL, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born Oct. 1, 1963, in Jacksonville, the son of Howard and Ruth (Petri) Hall. He married Amanda Reeves on March 12, 1983, in Meredosia, and she survives.

He is also survived by three children, Christin (Dennis) Waid of Griggsville, Erin Hall of Bluffs and Ryan Hall (Clare McKinzie) of Pittsfield; five grandchildren, Landon Sylas, Zoe, Hunter and Spencer; one sister, Teresa Hall of Meredosia; two brothers, Anthony (Tammy) Hall of Jacksonville and Tommy J. Hall of Lincoln; his brother-in-law, Ben (Jani) Reeves of Utah; his sister-in-law, Gracie Reeves of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Ellen Reeves.

Ron was a 1981 graduate of Meredosia-Chambersburg High School. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman and had also worked at ADM Growmark in Naples for thirteen years. He also had worked for Production Press and AGI Media Enterprises, both in Jacksonville. He loved the great outdoors, and enjoyed fishing, especially for crappie, hunting, mushroom hunting, and looking for arrowheads. He especially loved spending time with his whole family.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia, with burial at Versailles West Cemetery.
