Ronald Petri, 79, of Meredosia, IL, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at SSM Depaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO. He was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Table Grove, the son of Earl Allen and Margaret Ruth Tennis Petri. He is survived by one brother, Dennis Petri of Kansas City, MO and one sister, Pam Rausch of Cooperstown. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Petri; five sisters, Peggy Atkinson, Fonda McLean, Sarah Johnson, Rita Rausch (surviving husband Bobby of Meredosia), and Ruth Hall. Mr. Petri lived most of his life in Meredosia. He attended trade school in Decatur, and had also lived and worked in West Frankfort, Chicago, and Jacksonville, working for various telephone companies. He was a former member of Meredosia United Methodist Church and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Rams fan. A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia with burial at Versailles West Cemetery.
