Ruth Jean Ford, 84, of Jacksonville, IL, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. She was born Feb. 15, 1938, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Buell and Thelma Locker Ford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Helen Westerholt Ford; and two brothers, Jimmy and Ronnie Ford. Ruth had been a production worker for Elm City Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and had also been involved with Special Olympics. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Pine Tree Cemetery in Patterson. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements.
