Sharon L. Schmitz, 68, of Jacksonville, IL passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Prairie Village Healthcare Center.

She was born Oct. 6, 1956, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of LeRoy and June (Fluckey) DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her father; and her mother and stepfather, June and Hobart Perry.

She is survived by her life companion, Bob Anderson; and three brothers and two sisters, Fred (Julie) DeWitt, Roger (Tammy) DeWitt, David DeWitt, Debi DeWitt Volk, and Rosie Kunkel.

The light of Sharon's life were her dogs, Bo and Mac. She enjoyed family get togethers and she loved her great nieces and nephews.
