Shelda J. Heitbrink, 78, of Lincoln, IL, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at her home. She was born Oct. 30, 1943, in Roodhouse, the daughter of Elmer and Wreatha Downs Bettis. She is survived by her husband, Stan Heitbrink; one daughter, Pam (Todd) Parmenter of Peoria; one son, Derek Charles Heitbrink of Urbana; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jason, Abigail, and Andrew; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Heitbrink worked for Meyer Capel Law Office in Champaign and for the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville. She enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, and raising butterflies. She was an avid Christian with strong faith in Jesus, and enjoyed studying the Bible. Cremation rites will be accorded. A visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to Memorial Hospice.
