Sherrill Lynn "Sherry" Eskew, 80, of Ashland, IL passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Virginia the daughter of Carl E. and Lula Katherine "Katy" (Hankins) Johnson. She married Randall Lind Eskew on May 16, 1965, in Virginia and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2001.

She is survived by three sons, Shawn (Tammy) Eskew, Shannon (Missy) Eskew, and Shad (Jamie) Eskew, all of Ashland; four grandchildren, Stacey, Brandon, Anthony, and Austin Eskew; three great grandchildren, Keyser Fox, and Natalie and Paislee Rodems; one brother, Eddie (Sharon) Johnson of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Mrs. Eskew was a 1962 graduate of Virginia High School and then graduated from Nursing School. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working over 30 years at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed family dinners.
