Suzanne B. "Sue" Linde, 85, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, at Passavant Area Hospital. She was born July 15, 1936, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Nicholas George and Mildred Julia Becker Smith. She married Robert E. "Bob" Linde on Oct. 8, 1960, in St. Louis, MO, and he survives. She is also survived by two sons, Kurt Linde (husband, Mario Calvo) of Phoenix, AZ and Scott Linde of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Linde was a graduate of Normady High School in St. Louis and attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO. She had worked for International Shoe Company in St. Louis before moving to Jacksonville, where she was a teachers aide for School District #117 for 25 years. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. She was also a member of Jacksonville Junior Womens Club, served on the Salvation Army Auxiliary Board, and was a volunteer at Passavant Area Hospital. A memorial visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. There will be no service. Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are required inside the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Jacksonville Public Schools Foundation.
