Tina L.
Fry
Nov 4, 1959 — Feb 19, 2025
Tina L. Fry (Brown) age 65, passed away on Feb. 19, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 4, 1959, in Whitehall, IL to her mother Mabel L. Brown (Mellor).
The Jacksonville and Springfield communities may remember Tina as an enthusiastic pool shark, who would take your money on any pool table. She was an avid DIY-er, who loved working in her yard with all her beautiful flowering plants, or on her home, building anything she could imagine. Some may remember her as a smiling face behind the counter at your local Taco Gringo restaurant. Tina retired from Taco Gringo after 30 years, only to venture into her own cleaning business for the remainder of her working career. Always one to lend a hand or open her door, her friends and family will forever remember her caring heart, giving nature, and devotion to her (very) large family.
Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel L. Brown, her sisters, Freda Kay Hart (Brown) and Connie Clausen, and her brothers, Larry J. Brown Sr., and Kenneth Brown Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Long and (spouse) Jay Long, of Springfield IL., her son, Joseph Brown and (fiancé) Megan Williams, of Pleasant Plains IL; her grandchildren, Matthew Hoots and (spouse) Dorothy Hoots, Natalie Washington and (spouse) Lorenzo Washington, Justin Long, Sierra Brown, Lyndon Williams, Liam Hatfield, and Laken Brown; her great-grandchildren, Gavin Hoots, Amaree` Washington, Colby Washington, London Washington, Aurora Hoots, and Maverick Hoots; her brothers, Ernie Brown and (spouse) Nancy Brown, Lloyd Jackson, Donald Brown, and Richard Brown; her sisters, Diane Brown, Patty Brown, and Marla Guinn (Brown); and her stepsiblings, Tim Brown, Bobby Brown, Scott Clausen and Brian Clausen, Rebecca Brown, Cathy Clausen, and Caroline Clausen.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home, 1100 Lincoln Ave, Jacksonville IL on Saturday March 1, 2025. Visitation from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M.
