She was born August 16, 1933, in White Hall, the daughter of John and Maude (Bruce) Hutton.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (late husband, Steven) Settles of Carrollton; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Kaleb) Vetter of Greenfield, Sara (Shaun) Morton of Carlinville, Heather (Jay) Schroeder of Jacksonville, Dakota Settles (Madison Weber) of White Hall, Molly Dirden (Eric Wilson) of Jacksonville, and Madison Dirden of Jacksonville; six great grandchildren, Ashley (Wesley) Wingert, Alex Morton, Hayden, Kohen and Brennen Vetter, and Finnigan Schroeder; and two brothers and three sisters, Dean Hutton, Barbara Gerard, Ila Hoots, John Hutton, and Betty Kesterson. Wanda was a 1952 graduate of Bluffs High School. She worked for Hertzberg-New Method Book Bindery in Jacksonville for over 35 years. In her younger years, she was a Woman of the Moose and enjoyed bowling on leagues. When Grandma married Grandpa, they were marvelous dancers and other dancegoers would clear the floor for them. More recently, Wanda loved shopping, traveling, going out to eat with her sisters, playing BINGO, and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed sitting outside, attending sporting events, and especially loved watching Wheel of Fortune nightly with Madison. She had a sweet tooth and loved desserts of all kinds. She especially loved spending time with her daughters, grand-kids, and great grand-kids.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 pm Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery.
