William Thomas "Buddy" Mayes Jr., 33, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. He was born Oct. 20, 1989, the son of William Thomas Mayes Sr. and Kathy Dyer. He is survived by his parents; five children, Elijah, Ezekiel, Taegan, Brantley, and Gracelynn; and one sister, Marie Mayes. Buddy worked at Wal-Mart and Pathway. He loved the Chargers and his children were his life. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Jacksonville East Cemetery.
